Fresh Strawberries with Whipped Cream
🛒Ingredients (Grocery List)
3 pounds Strawberries, hulled
2 tbsp Sugar
For Whipped Cream
2 1/2 cups Crème Fraîche or Heavy Cream
4 tbsp Sugar

🥣Instructions
1. Cut the Strawberries lengthwise into thin slices and place them in a medium bowl. Add the Sugar, toss gently, and let macerate for at least 1 hour.
2. Just before serving, make the Whipped Cream: Using a whisk or electric mixer, whisk the Crème Fraîche or Heavy Cream in a large bowl until it doubles in volume, the whisk in the Sugar and transfer it to a serving bowl.
3. To serve, pass the Strawberries and the Whipped Cream separately.
💡Tips
Strawberries can be had year-round, but they are not delicious year-round. If you have ever had a strawberry in December, you understand. So, make this wonderful dessert in the fullness of local Strawberry season, to get the most from it.
Mixing the Strawberries with a bit of Sugar after cutting them allows them to exude some juice, which makes them all the more delicious.
