🛒Ingredients (Grocery List)

  • 3/4 cup Milk

  • All-purpose Flour for dredging

  • Salt and Pepper

  • 4 tbsp (1/2 stick) Butter

  • 1/2 cup sliced Almonds

  • 1 Lemon, thinly sliced (optional)

🍴Serves: 4

Prep Time: 20 min

⏱️Cook Time: 20 min

🥣Instructions

1. In 2 separate soup bowls, add the Milk in one bowl and the Flour in the other one. Season the Milk with Salt and Pepper. Rinse the Fish and pat dry. Dip the fish in the Milk, letting it drip back into the bowl, then dredge lightly in Flour, patting off the excess.

2. In a large skillet, melt 2 tablespoons of Butter over medium heat. Add the Fish and cook, turning once, until lightly browned, 7 to 8 minutes per side.

3. In a small saucepan, melt the remaining 2 tablespoons of Butter with the Almonds and cook until lightly browned.

4. Transfer the Trout to a serving platter and decorate with the Lemon slices, if using. Pour the Almonds and Butter over the fish and serve.

💡Tips

Watch the cooking of the fish and the Almonds closely, as they can easily burn, and Trout is delicate.

You may need to sauté the Trout two at a time with 2 tablespoons of Butter per batch if your skillet is too small. The fish should fit comfortably so they can brown nicely.
