Frogs Legs with Garlic and Shallot Butter


🛒Ingredients (Grocery List)

  • 3 tbsp Butter

  • 4 pairs Frog Legs, separated

  • Salt and Pepper

  • 1 Shallot finely chopped

  • 1 Garlic clove, finely chopped

  • Pinch of Cayenne Pepper

  • Chopped Parsley for sprinkling

  • Lemon wedges for serving

🥣Instructions

1. In a large skillet, melt the Butter over high heat. Add the Frog Legs, season with Salt and Pepper, and lightly brown. Reduce the heat to medium and cook for 10 minutes. Stir in the Shallot, Garlic, and Cayenne, reduce the heat to low, and cook for 5 minutes.

2. Transfer the Frog Legs to a platter. Sprinkle with the Parsley and serve with the Lemon wedges.

💡Tips

  • Frog Legs are generally sold frozen, in pairs.

  • If your skillet is too small to hold all the Frog legs without crowding them, cook them in 2 batches, adding 2 tablespoons of Butter to each.

  • Don’t lose a drop of this fragrant sauce. Stir dry Breadcrumbs into the skillet after the Frog legs have come out, then sprinkle over the Frog legs.
